Release of “Lockdown” Phase 1
Opening of Outside Tennis Courts
Following the announcement today from the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon regarding the return to tennis in Scotland on outdoor courts we can confim that the club will be reopening the outdoor tennis courts on Friday 29th May.
This is great news for our tennis members, and it means that the outside courts will be available to book for both singles and doubles play. There are no restrictions on individuals playing singles, but doubles can only be played with a partner from within your own household. Our staff have been busy working to ensure we are well prepared to reopen the courts safely.
We will be accepting telephone bookings only and we are intending having reception staff available on Thursday evening (from 5pm) to take court bookings from Friday onwards, (Tel. No. 01292 474700).
Under the guidelines, we will not be able to open up the building and therefore no toilet or changing facilities will be available.
Please remember to adhere to social distancing rules while entering and leaving the courts and while playing your match.
Please ensure you download, read and adhere to the Club’s Covid 19 policy, which has details of all the rules of access and play on the courts. A link to Tennis Scotlands Guidance for Tennis Venues and Players in Scotland can also be be found within the Club's Covid 19 Policy.
As we are now able to recommence tennis activities, please note that we will be looking to re-instate monthly membership direct debit payments from our tennis members only on or around the 3rd June.
Unfortunately, the gym must remain closed at this time but our fitness class instructors continue to provide a variety of online classes, and we encourage our gym members to join their sessions.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
